🌟 Celebrating the Next Generation of Educators with Hardy County Schools’ Grow Your Own (GYO) Program! 🌟
Congratulations Haven Ratcliff, a senior at Moorefield High School and a shining star in our GYO apprenticeship program! Haven, pictured front and center, is already making a positive difference in the classroom, with GYO Teacher Mentor Tanya McGregor praising her as a “natural in the classroom. It comes so easy for her, which speaks volumes of the size of her heart.” 💛📚
The GYO apprenticeship program offers students like Haven incredible opportunities to gain firsthand classroom experience, free dual-credit classes, and a clear path to teacher certification—all while reducing financial and time barriers. Hardy County is proud to be one of the original seven counties to implement an apprenticeship component, setting students up for long-term success while saving families statewide over $90,000 in tuition costs this year!
